3 films on list of critics’ selected shorts

Three short films have found way to the list of top short films of the year, based on a poll by Fidan Film, an Iranian short film portal.

‘Animal’ by Bahman Ark and his brother Bahram, ‘Maned & Macho’ by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi and ‘Block’ by Mostafa Rabbani made it to the list of the top three picks.

‘Animal’ depicts the story of a man who wants to pass the border illegally; so, he hunts a ram and decides to escape disguised as the animal.

‘Maned & Macho’ narrates the story of a young girl's repressed emotions and instincts that are embodied in some animals which come out of her dreams. However, no one in her family is receptive to these animals.

‘Block’ depicts the story of two teenagers who happen to get stuck in a critical situation.
